Retired Formula — Hephaestus (Bronze) is the original 2023 formula of this beloved bronze metallic staining glaze. These are remaining stock of the legacy formula at a discounted price.

The original formula runs slightly lighter and more copper-toned than the current 2024 Formula 1 (which we sell as Hephaestus - Teak Bronze). If you have projects to match to the older formula, or if you prefer the original character, this is your last chance.

Like the current formula, this is a concentrate: dilute with up to 20 parts water, alcohol, resin, water-based clear coat, or other clear catalyst. Even at deep dilution the bronze pigment holds true.
